When Honda Dio, Navi and TVS Scooty could become KTM Duke – Video

A shop in Bangalore, is offering customization option for TVS Scooty owners. This option will allow you to modify your scooters like Honda Dio and TVS Scooty Pep to look like a KTM Duke 200 or Duke 390. Well, sort of. Yes. If you have a scooter, and about INR 70,000, then you can go and opt for this customization.

This means, first you spend about INR 50,000 on buying a scooter, and then if you are not happy, you can go ahead with the KTM Duke customization, which will cost you another INR 70,000. Spend a little more, and you will have a new Duke 200 for real.

This customization is all about uniqueness and grabbing attention on the road. Powering this customized TVS Scooty cum KTM Duke 200 is a 88 cc single cylinder air cooled engine which delivers about 5 hp and 6 Nm. It has a top speed of about 80 kmph. The customization will add DUKE 200 styled headlight unit in the front, orange steel bars, which create the Duke look, mono shock at the rear, and a custom exhaust.

Surprisingly, this is not the only auto scooter which wants to be a Duke 200. There is this Honda Navi customization kit as well. The modifications made by the seller include – tank extensions from the Duke 200, decals, headlight unit from the Duke 200, raised handlebar, split seats, and a revised exhaust unit. For these updates, the seller is asking for a price of INR 70,000. Clearly, you must really love a scooter to be paying that much for one.

Engine specs remains same. Navi gets the 110 cc engine and the CVT, which have been lifted from the top selling Activa. Power and torque stand at 8 PS and 9 Nm. The place where the a conventional motorcycle’s engine would be is vacant and Honda has cleverly exploited the void to offer a wide range of funky storage solutions (can be had as accessories).

Honda Navi is on sold at a price tag of a little over INR 50,000, on-road. The runabout is available in 5 color options namely Patriot Red, Hopper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange, and Black.
