Honda Cars India will be recalling a total of 1,085 units of Accord and 253 units of Honda CR-V to rectify these defects. The company will carry out preventive replacement of passenger side air bag inflators on board all these cars which have been manufactured in 2003 besides a single unit of the CR-V manufactured in 2002.
These cars have been reported to have faulty passenger side airbag inflators. Though there have been no reports of accident of injury, the company is resorting to recall as a precautionary measure. All affected parts will be replaced free of cost and will be conducted by company service dealers in a phased manner as Honda Cars contacts customers directly.
