Honda Two Wheeler sales Oct 2019 – Activa registers growth post BS6 launch

HMSI sales for October 2019 dipped marginally at .46 percent having sold 4,87,819 units, down from 4,90,074 units sold in October 2018. Honda Activa sales continues to grow unabated. Sales grew 7 percent, up at 2,81,273 units, up from 2,62,260 units. MoM growth was high at 12.99 percent, up from 2,48,939 units sold the previous month. Launch of Activa BS6 has helped with sales growth.

CB Shine, now known as SP 125 sales dipped 3.92 percent, down to 87,743 units from 91,319 units. MoM sales was down by 1,150 units from 88,893 units. CB Shine is the brand’s bestselling motorcycle. Dio scooter sales fell by 15.78 percent, down to 36,939 units from 43,860 units having lost almost 7k units in volumes. MoM sales is down 4.68 percent from 38,752 units.

Honda CB Unicorn sales growth is reported at 5.95 percent, up at 27,477 units from 25,933 units. MoM sales growth was notable at 19.52 percent, up from 22,989 units sold the month prior. Honda Dream sales wasn’t quite so dreamy. Sales decline is reported at 20.03 percent, down to 19,682 units, about a fifth down from 24,611 units sold in October 2018. MoM sales fell 13.46 percent from 22,742 units.

Honda Livo sales grew 7.38 percent. Sales is reported at 14,308 units, almost up a 1,000 units from 13,325 units sold a year earlier. MoM sales fell marginally at 2.01 percent, down from 14,601 units. Grazia sales has suffered. Sales decline is reported at a startling 21.94 percent, down to 8,414 units from 10,779 units sold in October 2018. MoM sales dropped by 1.28 percent from 8,523 units sold in September 2019.

CB Hornet 160R sales contracted by 31.50 percent. Sales fell by 2,043 units, down to 4,442 units from 6,485 units. MoM sales grew 33.67 percent, up from 3,323 units sold the month prior. Aviator sales fell by 8.59 percent. Sales is reported at 4,374 units, down from 4,785 units. MoM sales decline stands at 2.69 percent, down from 4,495 units sold in Sept ’19.

Honda X Blade has lost its sharpness, and sales have almost halved. Sales fell 48.96 percent, down to 3,062 units from 5,999 units. MoM sales though are reported in the green, up 23.07 percent, up from a dismal showing of 2,488 units sold the month prior.

Honda Navi and Cliq sales are down to naught. So is CBR650. In September 2019, 20 units were sold. Of its big bike range, CB300R is the bestseller at 75 units. That’s a bit lower than the 96 units sold in September 2019. Africa Twin sales is up at 17 units from 11 units sold in October 2018. CB250R sales is almost next to nothing at 8 units sold. 258 units were sold in October 2018. In September 2019, 31 units were sold. GL1800 was celebrated by 3 buyers, and two people bought a CBR1000.
