Prash Thurairatnam and his wife Lakshmi are arguably the luckiest car couple of the year.

Its not everyday that you win a lottery. Some people spend a lifetime buying lottery tickets, in the hope that they will win something big / expensive someday. Most of these have probably never won anything at lottery. So why do people keep buying lottery tickets? Its because of stories like these.

Meet Prash Thurairatnam and his wife Lakshmi Thurairatnam. A young couple residing in Epsom, Surrey have been in the news lately, for they are the winner of brand new / expensive cars, thanks to Best of the Best (BOTB) supercar lottery.

How BOTB works is you have to select an expensive car of your liking form their website, and pay a ticket amount which ranges from £3 to £20. At the end of a week, a winner is announced, who not only gets his / her dream car, but also gets £10,000 in cash and free supply of fuel for 1 year.

Prash won a McLaren 540C in BOTB last October, while earlier this month, his wife Lakshmi won a Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S in the same lottery! In the UK, the 540C is priced at £125,000 while the Mercedes AMG is on sale for £95,000. This in addition to the £20,000 in cash along with 1 yr supply of free fuel, makes them richer by more than £240,000 (INR 2.34 crore).
