Hyosung GT250R ABS launched in India – Price Rs 3.48 lakhs
First launched in 2012, the Hyosung GT250R has finally received much needed ABS update.
Only offered without ABS option till now, the new Hyosung GT250R is now available with ABS only. Yes, the non ABS variant has been discontinued. Price for the new GT250R starts from Rs 3.48 lakh, ex-showroom.
Korean bike makers, Hyosung has updated the Hyosung GT250R with dual channel anti lock brake system. The inclusion of this feature in one of the company’s top models comes more than a year ahead of the Indian Government endeavor to implement this feature from April 2019.
From now on both the Hyosung GT250R and Aquila Pro will sport ABS and will be on sale through company dealerships in the country.
Hyosung GT250R is the only bike in the 250cc segment to receive dual channel ABS. This fully faired bike also sports twin headlamps, high tail features, a comfortable seat and split grab rails. Offered in color schemes of Titanium Black, Titanium White and Titanium Red, the bike sports a 17 liter fuel tank, has kerb weight of 188 kgs and stopping power is via dual front discs and single rear discs. Suspension is through upside down front fork and rear monoshock.
Engine specifications on the Hyosung GT250R include a 249cc DOHC, V-Twin, oil cooled engine offering 28 bhp peak power at 10,000 rpm and 22.07 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed gearbox. The quarter liter bike competes with the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Benelli 302R and Yamaha Fazer 25 in the Indian markets.
