Hyundai Motor Company has announced a global partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC), becoming a Premier Partner for six major ICC tournaments scheduled across 2026 and 2027. The association marks Hyundai Motor’s return to international cricket sponsorship after a decade, having previously partnered with the ICC between 2011 and 2015.
Partnership Covers Major ICC Events Including World Cup 2027
As part of the agreement, Hyundai Motor Company will secure premium branding and activation rights across ICC events, including the marquee Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. The partnership allows Hyundai to be part of key matchday moments such as the coin toss, alongside prominent in-stadium visibility and tailored fan engagement initiatives. The deal spans both men’s and women’s tournaments across multiple formats of the game, reinforcing Hyundai’s presence at some of the most-watched sporting events globally.

Strategic Focus on Cricket-Driven Markets Like India
Hyundai’s renewed focus on cricket aligns with its broader global sports strategy, which prioritizes culturally significant sports in key regions. With cricket commanding an estimated global fan base of over two billion, the partnership is particularly relevant for markets such as India, where the sport holds deep cultural significance. The announcement ceremony was held at the Narendra Modi Stadium, underlining the importance of the Indian market in Hyundai’s global growth plans.
José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, said “Cricket and Hyundai share a relentless drive to improve and the resilience to rise to every challenge.
