These discounts are dealer-dependent and could vary with location and stock availability
In a special scheme, Hyundai is offering discounts of up to Rs 1.03 lakh on several ‘BS6’ products. Individuals who are eligible for the discount offers include healthcare professionals, teachers, chartered/cost accountants and government employees. The scheme will be applicable across the country till the end of April but are dealer-dependent. Hence, the figures could vary with location and stock availability.
Eligible buyers need not worry about the ongoing lockdown as the offer can be availed via Hyundai’s ‘Click to Buy‘ online sales platform. It was recently launched by the South Korean automaker to make it easier for customers to buy their favourite Hyundai product. In addition to not having to visit the dealership, all the necessary paperwork can be completed online and the vehicle would be delivered to the customer’s residence or any other location of choice. Here are the BS6 Hyundai cars that are currently available under the discount scheme:
Hyundai Santro
Rivalling Maruti Suzuki’s WagonR and Celerio, higher Hyundai Santro variants are offered with benefits up to Rs 43,000. The base Era trim gets price cuts up to Rs 33,000. Introduced in 2018, the new-gen Hyundai Santro is powered by a 1.1-litre BS6-compliant petrol engine that makes out 69hp and 99Nm.
Hyundai Grand i10
Grand i10 hatchback is offered with discounts and benefits worth up to Rs 48,000. In its BS6 avatar, Hyundai’s Grand i10 is available only in a petrol format. The 1.2-litre petrol engine delivers 83hp and 114Nm while mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Grand i10 rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and Tata Tiago.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
The premium Nios version of Grand i10 comes with better interiors, more space and additional features. The car has both petrol and diesel engine options but the launch of its BS6 diesel variant has been delayed due to COVID-19 lockdown. Customers buying Hyundai Grand i10 Nios can avail discounts worth up to Rs 28,000.
Hyundai Elite i20
Currently available with only a petrol engine, Hyundai Elite i20 receives discounts up to Rs 38,000. Its BS6 diesel option is expected to launch soon. Hyundai Elite i20 diesel will borrow the 1.5-litre 100hp/240Nm BS6 motor from Venue. It competes with the likes of Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz (BS6 model coming soon), Toyota Glanza and Tata Altroz.
Hyundai Elantra
Equipped with premium features and connected-car tech (Hyundai Blue Link), Hyundai Elantra is available in both petrol and diesel formats. The 2.0-litre BS6 petrol engine makes 152hp and 192Nm while the upcoming 1.5-litre diesel variant churns out 115hp and 250Nm. Hyundai Elantra petrol variant gets the highest discounts at or up to Rs 1.03 lakh.
