As the slump continues in the auto sector, carmakers are offering attractive discounts to clear existing inventory. India’s second largest automaker Hyundai is also offering discounts of several of its cars.
Hyundai Santro: Launched in 2018, Santro was ranked at second spot in the hatchback segment in April 2019. However, sales numbers had declined in May 2019. Santro is being offered with cash discount of Rs 15k and exchange benefits worth Rs 20k.
Hyundai Grand i10: Next-gen Grand i10 is in the works and will be launched during the festive season. Current models are available with cash discount of Rs 60k and exchange benefits worth Rs 30k.
Hyundai Xcent: This was the third bestselling sub-4-meter sedan in 2018, ahead of Ford Aspire and Tata Tigor. Total cash discount on Xcent is Rs 60K whereas exchange bonus is worth Rs 35k.
Hyundai Elite i20: There’s more competition for Elite i20 with the launch of Toyota Glanza and upcoming cars such as Tata Altroz. Elite i20 itself will get a facelift by end of this year. Existing models are available with exchange bonus worth Rs 20k.
Hyundai Verna: This has been consistently ranked among the top 3 bestselling C-segment sedans in the country. Although cash discount is not available for Verna, customers can benefit from Rs 30k exchange bonus.
Hyundai Elantra: Facelift Elantra is expected to be launched soon at around Rs 14-18 lakh. Elantra existing models are being offered with massive cash discount of Rs 1.25 lakh and exchange benefits worth Rs 75k.
Hyundai Tucson: This is Hyundai’s flagship SUV for the Indian market. It competes with the likes of Volkswagen Tiguan. Customers buying Tucson can avail Rs 25k cash discount and Rs 75k exchange benefits.
If you are a government employee, you can avail additional Rs 5k discount on Santro, Grand i10, Xcent, and Elite i20, and Rs 10k on Verna. There are no offers for recently launched Venue, as the car has registered strong sales since its launch. Creta too does not have any offers.
