Hyundai i20, Verna, Grand i10, Xcent unsold 2018 stock on sale at discounts

In a bid to clear out stocks of cars from the 2018 Model Year, Hyundai dealers are offering attractive discounts, exchange schemes and cash benefits. These discounts are on select models upto Rs.1.25 lakhs and will vary as per dealership and available stocks.

Hyundai Grand i10 is being offered at a discount upto Rs.70,000 on petrol variants going upto Rs.80,000 on its diesel engine counterpart. These include both cash discounts and exchange bonus applicable on 2018 model year cars only. The Hyundai Xcent discounts extend to a maximum of Rs.85,000 on its petrol and diesel variant.

Hyundai i20 and i20 Active along with the Hyundai Verna come in with New Year discounts of Rs.45,000 respectively. The Hyundai i20 Elite in the premium hatchback segment, which has constantly featured in the top 10 selling cars is being offered with a discount of Rs.25,000 and exchange bonus of Rs.20,000.

The more premium offerings such as the Hyundai Elantra and Tucson are being offered at discounts upto Rs.1,25,000 with special schemes for corporate and government employees while in the fleet segment, the Hyundai Grand i10 Prime Taxi and Xcent Prime Taxi is available at discounts upto Rs.45,000 for both petrol and diesel variants. Interestingly, Hyundai has been spied testing the new Grand i10, new i20, Verna and Creta. All these new gen cars are expected to be launched before the end of 2020. Considering that the Xcent is based on Grand i10, it too will get a new gen variant.

No discount offers on Santro and Creta.

The Hyundai Santro which entered its next generation in October has been seeing good sales. The company has received over 40,000 bookings for the new Santro and hence no discounts or special offers are being presented with this model. It is also the Hyundai Creta, the company’s highest selling SUV that is not being offered with any discounts in the month of January.

The MY 2019 Creta SUV comes in with new features and updated equipment along with a new variant called Creta SX(O) Executive. The prices of the base of 2019 Creta will now start at Rs 9.60 Lakh, an Rs 10,000 increase over its 2018 model. The Hyundai i20 too, has been better equipped for 2019, which has also brought in a price hike of Rs.6,000-7,000 for the base variant.
