Corona virus pandemic might change the way we buy cars, probably for the majority of the buyers

PM Narendra Modi has extended the lockdown in India by another 3 weeks. As per the latest govt order, the lockdown will end on 3rd May 2020. But it is not clear if the lockdown will be extended again for the 3rd time, or will it be lifted. If it will be lifted, will it be lifted fully or partially. There are many questions which remain unanswered, in this regard for now.

But one thing is for certain, not everyone will be able to get back to normal circumstances once the lockdown in India ends. For example, not everyone will be willing to visit a car dealership, to buy a car. There will be some who will be a bit apprehensive of getting into crowded spaces in the post COVID-19 era. In order to be ready to tackle such situations, Hyundai has launched their ‘Click To Buy’ platform.

In its new online avatar, Hyundai Click To Buy process streamlines the entire buying process. Customers can now buy a Hyundai car online through a process designed to be user friendly and hassle-free. Alongside, it’s a simple and quick process that’s transparent. You can buy the new Creta, Venue, Aura, NIOS, Grand i10, i20 Elite, Verna, etc via this process. Watch the video below, which explains the entire process.

The car buying procedure can be completed online by selecting a car and variant, configure car as per requirement, trade in (exchange if any), apply for a loan, buy the car, and get it delivered. The new online approach is designed to address the entire buying process.

In the earlier online process from Hyundai, customer activity was limited to being able to booking the car. In its revised avatar, Hyundai India will take care of the complete buying process online. As such, everything that was done at a showroom, can now be completed online. This includes enquiry to delivery, loan, car exchange, payments, discount negotiations, and all related queries.

Hyundai’s entire range is available for purchase in the Click to Buy platform, an additional online sales channel for Hyundai dealerships. Click to Buy platform is connected real time with dealerships to ensure realtime and quick interactions with customers who prefer the online route.

A study suggests there are 560 million folks using the internet today. By 2020, upward of 70 percent of those with net access are expected to buy goods and services online. While online buying has increased, and even helped folks in remote areas, how many people are ready to buy a car online is yet to be seen. Of course, this sin’t an altogether new other, and manufacturers have been trying to improve a dialogue with potential customers online through various platforms. Tata has also launched a similar program called Click To Drive.

Hyundai Click to Buy is an easy to navigate platform for an end to end digital experience by registering at the portal. Following this, customers can choose and configure a car, followed by financing options. Users may opt for a personalised assistant during the purchase cycle. This will let one contact the allocated sales representative at any time during the online purchase. Customers can choose preferred delivery options – pick the vehicle from the selected dealer, or get their vehicle delivered to their doorstep.
