Hyundai Motor Company is expected to unveil a sub compact SUV codenamed ix25, at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show later this month. Spy shots of this all new ix25 were taken during test run in China recently, and the spy photographer has somehow managed to catch the interiors on roll, giving us an idea over what to expect from the new Hyundai compact SUV.

The dashboard design features mono-tone colour scheme with silver accent and vertically oriented AC vents. Music system with Disc slot and small square display is found in the centre console and controls of Automatic Climate Control System are found beneath.

The 3 spoke steering wheel is all black, with no silver borderline as in the dashboard, and has audio controls mounted. Like the Steering wheel, gear knob for automatic transmission is also inspired from the new Santa Fe.

Exterior design bears resemblance to the Hyundai Curb concept showcased at the Detroit Motor Show in 2011, which also looks like the new Santa Fe. It is likely to be powered by 1.2 litre Kappa & 1.4 litre Gamma petrol engines along with 1.4 litre U2 CRDi diesel option, in the i20 platform.

The ix25 is reported to measure 4.25 metres in length, staying out of the sub-4 metre segment in India. Hence, it will be pitted against Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano (if launched in India). In the European market, Dacia Duster, Renault Captur, Honda Vezel, Peugeot 2008 and Nissan Juke will be rivalling the ix25. Further information to be disclosed at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show later this month.
