Hyundai Creta arrives at dealerships before launch on 21st July

Hyundai Creta compact SUV will be launched in six variants with Base and S variants being offered in petrol and diesel engine options while the SX and SX(O) will receive only diesel engines. Slated to be priced between INR 8 lakhs and INR 11 lakhs, the new Hyundai Creta is already opened for bookings at dealerships even though the company has not officially commenced the same.

A Hyundai dealer confirmed that Creta has started arriving at dealerships for customer preview purpose.

To compete with Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta compact SUV will receive 1.4 liter CRDi and 1.6 liter CRDi diesel engine options and 1.6 liter Dual VTVT petrol unit. Each of these engine will be mated to a 6 speed manual transmission while the Creta 1.6 liter diesel SX variant will also receive a 6 speed automatic transmission.

Measuring 4.27 meters in length, Hyundai Creta top end variant will see a host of safety features such as dual front airbags besides side and curtain airbags. It will also sport ABS, EBD, VSM and HAC along with a 7” touchscreen AVN system, reverse camera and smart entry with engine starter button. The new Creta is not in a sub 4 meter category and measures 4,270mm in length and sits on a wheelbase of 2,500mm. Width is at 1,780mm while height is at 1,630mm while the car boasts of ground clearance of 200mm.

Hyundai says CRETA name has been derived from the world CREATIVE.

Sitting on 17” diamond cut alloy wheels with black radiator grille and micro roof antenna, the new Creta from Hyundai India will sport a host of interior comforts. Ample storage space, adequate head, shoulder and legroom for passengers in the rear seats, the new Creta also comes with twin AC vents for rear seat occupants, central armrest with integrated cup holders and leather seating.
