Hyundai Creta bookings surpass 40,000 units

The Hyundai Creta enjoyed a euphoric reception with over 15,000 orders on the launch day. The accomplished crossover has managed to sustain the strong demand so far. According to a report in Financial Express, the Creta bookings are now in the region of 40,000 units.

In the first two months of sales, Hyundai India dispatched around 15,000 units of its compact crossover. In comparison, the Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport managed average monthly volumes of 1,300 and 3,000 units respectively.

The attractive styling, unmissable road presence, good interiors, powerful engines and top-notch equipment level make the Creta a comprehensive package. Despite being priced higher than competition, customers seem to appreciate the premium feel of the car.

Hyundai Creta has managed to sustain its strong initial demand.

In order to cater to the surging demand of its new product, Hyundai India has reportedly reduced the production of other products like Eon, Verna and Xcent. Exports are also said to have been scaled down slightly since the automaker’s twin manufacturing plants near Chennai is running at a highly capacity utilization rate. The automaker’s installed production capacity now stands at 6.8 lakh units per annum.

The production preference to the Creta is expected to reduce the waiting period which is currently extending to several months at some locations, especially for the diesel automatic variant.
