With just a day left for the global debut of Hyundai Creta in New Delhi, official brochure has been released. The comprehensive document provides complete details of the premium crossover and highlights its safety equipment, styling and comfort features inside out.
The brochure also confirms that powertrain specifications of Creta. The 1.6-litre VTVT petrol engine is produces 123 PS and 151 Nm of torque while the 1.6-litre CRDI diesel engine is pumps out 126 PS and 260 Nm of torque. The base 1.4-litre CRDI diesel motor is good for 90 PS and 220 Nm of torque. All the motors are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission while the 1.6-litre CRDI unit can also be specified with a 6-speed auto box.
The crossover will be available in a total of 10 variants with three engines and 6 trim levels namely Base, S, S+, SX, SX+ and SX (O). The fully loaded variant comes packed up to brim with features such as 6-airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, VSM, HAC, touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, leather wrapped steering wheel, reverse parking camera, 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights and so on.
The car will be available in 7 exterior color options – Polar White, Sleek Silver, Mystic Blue, Red Passion, Pearl Beige, Stardust and Phantom Black.
Leaked price list indicates that Hyundai may price Creta between INR 9.13 lakhs to 14.18 lakhs (ex-showroom). With this price range, the SUV will lock horns with Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Mahindra Scorpio and even lower variants of XUV500.
