Hyundai Creta brochure scans reveal new details, spied on road without camouflage (Video)

New interesting facts about the upcoming Hyundai Creta SUV are revealed thanks to scans of a leaked brochure. Surprisingly, the mileage figures are missing from the brochure. Also missing are ground clearance, turning radius, and boot volume figures.

Hyundai Creta is based on the ix25 which was launched in China last year.

Hyundai Creta compact SUV is being launched in six variants Base, S, S+, SX, SX+ and SX(O). A total of seven exterior colours that include Sleek Silver, Star Dust, Pearl Beige, Polar White, Red Passion, Mystic Blue and Phantom Black will be on offer. It will measure 4,270 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height while it will sit on a wheelbase of 2,590 mm.

Hyundai Creta brochure also details the three engine options being offered on the new Creta which include a 1.6 liter petrol, 1.4 liter diesel and 1.6 liter diesel. The 1.6 liter petrol and 1.4 liter diesel engines will be mated to a 6 speed manual transmission while the 1.6 liter diesel will be offered with a 6 speed automatic or manual gearbox. 1.6 liter petrol engine offers 126 PS power and 151 Nm torque, the 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter diesel engines will produce 90 PS power and 220 Nm torque and 133 PS power and 260 Nm torque respectively.

A Hyundai dealer confirmed that Creta has started arriving at dealerships for customer preview purpose.

Hyundai expects to attract young adventure lovers with this new Creta compact SUV which comes in loaded with features and expected to be within a price tag of INR 8-13 lakhs. The five seater, spacious Creta will receive features such as keyless entry, start/stop button, daytime running lights and reverse camera while Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted controls and rear AC vents along with auto foldable mirrors are also detailed. Hyundai Creta is being positioned among rivals such as the Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and the soon to be launched Maruti S-Cross.
