Following Hyundai Creta being the most popular SUV in its segment, Maruti Suzuki S Cross comes in as a close second. Maruti Suzuki S Cross, introduced in India in 2015 and sold through NEXA dealerships in the country, is soon to get a 1.5 liter K15 petrol engine that also powers the Ciaz and new Ertiga. The engine offers 105 PS power and 138 Nm torque and will be mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The engine is not BS VI compliant as on date but will be updated soon.

Renault Duster and Captur also command either a nil waiting period or a waiting period to a maximum of 4 weeks in most cities across the country. The Duster has been around since 2012 and attracted some attention due to its monocoque construction and efficient engine lineup. Renault Duster facelift is in the works and set to meet new safety and crash test norms.

Nissan Kicks waiting period extends from nil to an average of 4 weeks in most cities and to a maximum of 6 weeks in Pune. Nissan Kicks premium SUV, introduced in India in January 2019, is the only SUV among these competitors to receive a 360-degree parking camera. It is offered with a good level of equipment right from the base variant onwards making it highly attractive to buyers in this segment.
