Already launched in India, the new Hyundai i20 Elite is based on Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. Not only it offers bolder looks, but also feature rich interiors. Today, we are in Jodhpur, to test drive the new i20. Before we bring you a review of i20, here is a hi-res image gallery of new Hyundai i20 Elite.

Hyundai Elite i20 (1)Hyundai Elite i20 comes in with a larger and low slung hexagonal grille, swept back headlamps with chrome detailing. Sporting a flatter bonnet, the Elite i20 gets enhanced dimensions with increased width and longer wheelbase while overall length has been reduced by 10mm to now stand at 3,985mm. Sharper in profile, the Elite i20 receives a bolder shoulder line, blackened C-pillars and sits on 16” alloy wheels whole lower spec models receive 14” steel wheels. Sufficient boot space and comfortable cabin is its highlights thus appealing to buyers who are frequent and long distance travelers.

Top of the line Hyundai Elite i20 Asta trim includes  equipment such as automatic headlights, push button start, automatic climate controls. Infotainment comes from an audio player with 1 GB music storage, Bluetooth telephone function and reverse camera.

Designed as competition to Maruti Swift, Fiat Punto Evo Volkswagen Polo, the Hyundai Elite i20 is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Hyundai Elite i20 has been launched with a 1.2 liter petrol and 1.4 liter diesel engine in five trim levels mated to six speed manual gearbox as seen on its i20 counterpart. Elite i20 is developed at Hyundai’s Design Centre at Rsheim in Germany at an investment of INR 1,050 crore. In India, it is launched at prices starting from INR 4.89 lakhs and going all the way upto INR 7.67 lakhs for the top spec diesel trim.
