Variants – Five including Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and one option variant, either Magna (O) or Sports (O). All five will be seen in petrol and diesel versions, hosting 1.2 litre engine (83 PS @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 4,000) with 5 speed and 1.4 litre mill (90 PS @ 4,000 rpm and 220 Nm @ 1,500-2,750 rpm.) with 6 speed manual transmission respectively. There will be no Automatic variant.
Specifications – Hyundai Elite i20 is shorter by 10 mm, wider by 24 mm and as tall as first generation i20. Wheelbase is stretched by 45 mm and ground clearance is upped by 4 mm; boot volume remains identical. Wheel option sees 16 inch on top of line model; 195/55-R16. Claimed top speed of Hyundai Elite i20 petrol and diesel is 165 kmph and 170 kmph respectively.
Features – Second gen Hyundai i20 gets dual tone interiors (beige and brown), premium seat upholstery fabric, bucket type front seats, center arm rest with storage on front, rear AC vents, impact sensing door unlock, clutch lock, service reminder, Follow Me Home lamps, 2 DIN audio system, lane change indicators, smart pedal system (cuts off acceleration when throttle and brake pedals are pressed simultaneously out of panic), dual roof / reading lights, sunglass holder, absent fuel economy reading in Multi Function Display and missing Sunroof facility in Asta variant.
