Hyundai and Ford India report sales growth for February 2017
Ford India reported a significant rise in both domestic sales and exports. On the other hand, Hyundai India has registered sales to the extent of 52,734 units in February 2017.
Ford India has announced total sales for the past month which stood at 24,026 units. This is against 17,306 units sold in February 2016 indicating an increase of 38.83%.
Domestic sales and exports grew significantly wherein domestic sales increased by 52% to 8,338 units in February as against 5,483 units sold in February 2016 while exports increased from 11,823 units in February 2016 to 15,688 units in the past month, an increase of 32.69%.
Ford India also introduced the next generation of voice activated in-car technology SYNC 3 in the Ford Endeavour. This new technology is on offer only on Ford Endeavour Titanium variants augmenting customer experience in the form of better performance, conversational voice recognition and a smartphone like touchscreen.
With Eureka Ford and Surat Ford, the company also extended its sales and service networks in both Chennai and Surat wherein models such as Ford EcoSport, Ford Endeavour, Ford Aspire, new Figo and Ford Mustang will be on display.

Leading car manufacturer, Hyundai Motors India Limited saw its sales percentage increase by 6% in February 2017. Sales during the past month stood at 52,734 units. Domestic sales increased by 4% to 42,327 units as against 40,176 units sold in February 2016. Exports increased by 15.5% in February 2017 to 10,407 units from 9,013 units exported in February 2016.
Stronger sales could be due to improved customer confidence and more disposable incomes. Hyundai Creta was a leading model where sales were concerned along with the company’s 11 car models which include the Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Creta, Elantra, Tucson and Santa Fe which are produced from the company manufacturing unit near Chennai.
