Clearly the bright orange images that have been widely viewed all week is a reality as the vehicle is being prepped for an outdoor photoshoot with abundant reflectors and diffusers in sight. The dashboard has been cleared of clutter and knobs have come of age. There’s 3 central knobs on the dashboard, which will assist in temperature control. As was revealed earlier in the week, there’s 1 GB in-built memory storage for in car infotainment, and rear AC vents are in order. The images released are of the 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine with a four-speed AT option.
The smart cooled glove box is a smart fit rather than the earlier front open design. The two toned beige interiors whether on dash or seats look grey in here but that could just be because of the low res vid. The key slot below the steering wheel from the earlier gen has been done away with a start stop button paving the way for a smart key. Steering mounted controls, Airbags, and ABS are in place. The cup and change holder next to the hand brake has been altered.
The new gen Hyundai i10 is the company’s major focus this season as there will clearly be two distinct types, one for Europe, and Grand for India. The first images for the European spec show a silver car with LED daytime running lights. The Hyundai Grand i10 for India is clearly missing LED’s , uses slightly more chrome in the front facade, and has wider headlights. Both cars have a more similar rear, while Hyundai Grand i10 for India is slightly more elongated. The new hatch sits on 14 inch alloys, and features auto folding external mirrors with turn indicators and rear parking sensors.
