Hyundai has revealed its sporty i20 Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show in an exclusive exterior paint – Tangerine Orange.
Hyundai’s new supermini in a sportier appeal with three doors and black and orange exteriors is sporty and instantly appealing to younger buyers. Built at the company’s manufacturing plant in Izmit, Turkey alongside the new generation i20 five-door, the three door variant has a lowered roof line by 25mm and will come in at a base price of £12,725 (INR12,08,735) when it goes on sale at the end of March.
Being offered in a range of two petrol and two diesel engines, the Hyundai i20 three door Coupe will be powered by a 1.2 liter petrol offering 84 PS peak power and 1.4 liter petrol offering 100 PS power. Diesel engines will include a 1.1 liter and 1.4 liter offering 75PS and 90 PS respectively. To enhance its sporty stance a new turbocharged 1.6 liter petrol engine is also being mulled.
Sharing its platform with the i20 hatchback, Hyundai i20 three door Coupe is seen styled with aggressive wheel arches, a raked windscreen and new tail lamps and roof spoiler. Bumper design is also modified for a sportier appeal. The Hyundai i20 three door Coupe will be available in Hyundai showrooms across the UK from 26 March 2015.
Next to the Hyundai i20 Coupe was their all-new WRC contender, which is used by two teams this season in WRC – Hyundai Motorsport N and Hyundai Shell World Rally Team.
