The company is expected to officially launch the Hyundai i20 facelift in early 2018 while it could also go on show at the 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida in early February.
2018 Hyundai i20 facelift is spied with a new ‘Cascading’ grille which is the most noticeable feature on the facelift. It gets a Sleek Silver exterior paint and sits on dark 10 spoke alloy wheels. The model on test sported LED DRLs, fog lamps and a number plate that was mitigated from the rear bumper to the tailgate. New tail lamps were also seen along with tail light graphics.
Hyundai i20 facelift will receive slightly revised interiors. An updated touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also expected to be a part of its features along with other driver and passenger comforts.
2018 Hyundai i20 facelift could carry forward the same engine specs as are seen on its current counterpart. The current Hyundai i20 is powered by a 1.2 liter Kappa petrol engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. It also gets a 1.4 liter Gamma petrol engine mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission and a 1.4 liter U2 CRDi diesel engine mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
The current Hyundai i20 is retailed at INR 5.29 to 9.15 lakhs and the facelift should be priced within this same bracket once officially launched in the country.
