All the hard work Hyundai India Motors have put in seems to be paying off. The auto maker had strengthened its ground in India by making heavy investments and implementing out of the box sales and marketing strategies. Hyundai India Motors which is the second largest car manufacturer in the country, has recorded its highest ever monthly sales in India for the month of February 2012.
Hyundai has reported a 12.8% increase over last year’s sales figures for February 2012. In 2011 Hyundai had sold 32,629 units in the month of February. In comparison, with the same month for 2012, Hyundai has reported sales of 36,805 units.
Director, Marketing and Sales, Hyundai India Motors said he was happy with the sales figures and that Hyundai would be gearing up to boost sales in the coming months. He also expressed that although the auto market in India is not at an all-time high, Eon sales have gone up significantly.
Hyundai clocks highest ever Domestic sales
Registers 12.8% domestic growth
New Delhi, March 1, 2012: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter registered highest ever domestic sales growing by 12.8% over the same month last year.
Domestic sales in February were 36,805 units (32,629 units), exports were 15,050 units (19,378 units) registering a decline of 22.3% and aggregate sales were 51,855 units (52,007 units) dipped by 0.3%.
Commenting on the February sales, Mr Arvind Saxena, Director – Marketing and Sales, HMIL said, “Even in the tough market situation Eon sales have helped us to achieve the highest ever domestic sales.”
The segment-wise cumulative sales for February 2012 are: A2 segment 45,124 units (Eon, Santro, i10, i20); A3 Segment 6,584 units (Accent and Verna) and Santa Fe (SUV) 147 units.
