After registering their best ever sales in 2014, Hyundai India is now getting ready for 2015. During this year, they plan to grow even further. With a host of new car launches lined-up for 2015, Hyundai India’s first launch of the year will be the new Verna.
Hyundai Verna facelift was launched in Russia last year, where it is named Solaris.
At the start of 2014, Hyundai Verna was the best selling car in the segment. Post the launch of new City, it lost that position. Soon, Maruti Ciaz entered the market, and Verna was shifted to the third spot as far as sales are concerned. The new Verna facelift is expected to give a better competition to the segment leaders once launched.
New Hyundai Verna will be seen with a revised front fascia. It has a new hexagonal grille flanked by restyled headlamps, new front bumper with revised fog lamps and LED surrounds. At the rear, tail lights are redesigned with integrated LEDs while the bumper also receives integrated reflectors. The 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift will also sit on new allow wheels.
Interiors of the 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift will have a new touchscreen infotainment system, additional airbags while upholstery will also be updated. Engine specifications remain largely unchanged, but expected suspension and steering to be tweaked for better handling and performance.
Hyundai Verna facelift will be powered by a 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter petrol engine and 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter CRDi engines mated to six speed manual gearbox. For automatic, the new Verna might get the 6 speed gearbox from the Elantra, compared to the 4 speed as on the current Verna. Price of new Hyundai Verna are expected to be in the range of INR 7.4 lakhs to INR 11 lakhs.
