Confirmed for an India launch in 2015, Hyundai ix25 is set to go on sale in China on 9th October 2014, at a starting price of 129,800 Yuan or approximately Rs 12.5 lakhs as per today’s currency conversion.

Hyundai ix25 variants on offer, Price revealedWith a wheelbase of 2590 mm, dimensions of ix25 stand at 4270 mm x 1780 mm x 1,630 mm (L x W x H). This makes Hyundai ix25 longer than Ford EcoSport, but shorter than Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.

A total of 7 variants will be on offer. These are divided smartly between two engine choices, 1.6l and 2.0l, both of which will be offered in manual as well as automatic transmission options. You will also have 2WD and 4WD options.

Both motors are petrol driven. 1.6l reportedly churns out 116 hp power and 143 Nm torque, while range topping 2.0l engine delivers 148 hp and 173 Nm torque. The 2.0l engine features D-CVVT – Dual-Continuous Variable Valve Timing and first featured in 2011. A total of five variants of the seven on offer will be powered by 1.6l engine.

As far as pricing and variants is concerned, Hyundai ix25 base variant will be a 2WD Manual 1.6l priced at 129,800 Yuan (Rs 12.56 lakhs). This will be followed by a 2WD Automatic 1.6l priced at 139,800 Yuan (Rs 13.52 lakhs). Then comes 1.6L Enjoy 2WD Automatic at 149,800 Yuan (Rs 14.49 lakhs), followed by 1.6l AWD Automatic Luxury at 159,800 Yuan (Rs 15.46 lakhs). Top of the line 1.6L is Automatic Distinguished Type. This one is priced at 169,800 Yuan (Rs 16.43 lakhs).

2.0l engine is only offered with automatic transmission option. The base one is called 2.0l Automatic Two Drive Luxury priced at 179,800 Yuan (Rs 17.40 lakhs), while the top end is called AWD Automatic Distinguished type BLUELINK. This one is priced at 189,800 Yuan (Rs 18.37 lakhs).
