The Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation MoU signed provides academic cooperation and patient care services. Hyundai Foundation, Yonsei University and SRU first signed a MOU in 2012 to provide medical support for local patients, and patient invitation to Korea for treatment. Education for local doctors and on-site education from Korean doctors is made available.
With the successful Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation programme ending in 2014, the renewal is been extended to 2017 and both universities strive to support over 100 patients each year. The association has already benefited over 300 people. BS Seo, MD and CEO, HMIL says Hyundai Foundation’s constantly endeavours to improve the lives, and create a better environment for them. Collaboration with Yonsei University and SRU ensures academic exchange between both universities for quality education, training, and development for healthcare and results in healthcare services for the underprivileged.
Since the first Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation collaboration in 2012, 347 local patients received medical support, 5 SRU faculty members received short term training in Korea. As part of academic co-operation, medical seminars were held for SRU faculty members. Hyundai will continue to remain committed to the Indian community.
