Hyundai and Kia have presented 875 vehicles to UEFA for using them at the EURO 2016 which is being held from June 10 to July 10, 2016. The vehicles were handed over at a ceremony held at Stade de France, Saint-Denis.
At the presentation ceremony, Guy-Lauren Epstein, UEFA Events SA Marketing Director thanked the sponsors for their continued support.
428 Hyundai vehicles to be used as official fleet include the Genesis, Santa Fe, Tucson and i20. Kia Motors has supplied 447 vehicles which will be used to transport national football teams, referees, officials and delegates. These include the Sportage crossover, Optina sedan, Sorento SUV besides the Carens compact MPV, Soul urban crossover and the European cee’d model.
In keeping with this year’s slogan ‘Real Fans First’ Hyundai expects to get closer to customers and enhance brand value by showing support to real fans while Kia will be conducting a series of events and activities during the course of the tournament which will bring both fans and teams together.
Hyundai Motors has also launched ‘Digital Fan Park’ an interactive online space specially designed for football fans. The company has also staged a host of events and promotions in support of UEFA EURO 2016 while the YouTube video – ‘EURO 2016 is coming’ has already gathered over 33 million hits.
