Hyundai Santro brochure explains all variants – Which one should you buy?

2018 Hyundai Santro has been launched in India. It has been a highly anticipated launch which has stirred up buyers excitement ever since it was announced, with advertisement campaigns for its name, spy shots while it was tested and images which were leaked on the internet.

Hyundai Santro priced between Rs 3.89-5.45 lakhs is presented in four variants of Era, Magna, Asta and Sportz. It continues to sport the same tall boy exterior and boasts of Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language.

Each of these variants get powered by the same engine that includes a 1.1 liter, 4 cylinder petrol engine offering 68 bhp power and 99 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed gearbox. Hyundai is also offering an AMT gearbox option and a factory fitted CNG option making 59bhp power and 20.3 kmpl fuel efficiency. But with so many variants on offer, which is the best for you buck? Hyundai Santro DLite, priced at INR 3.89 lakhs gets driver’s side airbag, ABS and EBD along with child safety door locks, tachometer, power steering and folding rear seats. It is also seen with 13” steel wheels and 155/80 R13 tyres, dual tone interiors in black and beige and a 2.5”MID besides a remote operated fuel lid and tail gate.

Hyundai Santro Era, priced at INR 4.25 lakhs receives body colored bumpers, rear AC vents and AC with heater. It is seen with front power windows and a 12V power outlet.

Hyundai Santro Magna is priced between INR 4.57-5.23 lakhs. Its onboard features include chrome surrounds on its front grille, body colored wing mirrors and door handles, central locking and fire extinguisher which is only on offer on the CNG variant. Other segment first features include day and night rear view mirrors, black interiors with green inserts along with infotainment in the form of a 2 DIN stereo with USB and Bluetooth. The AMT variant also gets steering mounted controls, Hyundai iblue app, antenna, front speakers and front and rear power windows.

Hyundai Santro Sportz is priced from INR 4.99 lakhs to INR 5.64 lakhs and receives features that include 14” wheels with full wheel caps and fitted with 165/70 R14 tyres, turn indicators on wing mirrors, rear fog lamps, rear defogger and keyless entry. It also gets a 7” touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink along with voice recognition. Front and rear speakers and power adjustable wing mirrors are also among these features.

Top of the line Hyunda Santro Asta variant, priced at INR 5.45 lakhs is seen with rear parking sensors, reverse camera along with dual front airbags and rear wiper and washer along with all the other features seen on the lower trims.
