Hyundai Santro gets the Elantra Blue – New segment first features revealed

One of the most anticipated cars in 2018, new Hyundai Santro will be officially launched on October 23. Bookings have already started online and first 50,000 customers are being given the benefit to book all new Santro at just Rs 11,100.

Online bookings are open till October 22. New Santro comes with a host of upgraded features and it also gets a new engine. It will most likely replace the Eon and compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Tata Tiago. First batch of Santro has started arriving at dealerships across India. And thanks to this, we now have the first clear images of the all new Santro in Blue colour.

All new Hyundai Santro has a tallboy design, but it’s quite curvaceous and does not have the boxy appearance of WagonR. Exteriors and interiors have a premium look to them, as can be seen with Hyundai’s Signature Cascade Grille with chrome surround, swept-back headlamps, stylishly shaped fog lamps, prominent front bumper with sporty character lines and attractive 14-inch steel wheels.

Interiors feature a dual-tone colour theme in contrasting black and beige. There is plenty of legroom and headroom and segment-first rear AC vents as well, which ensure optimal comfort. Interiors are designed as per practical ergonomics (easy ingress & egress) and they ensure high seating position and optimal all-round visibility. All-new Hyundai Santro gets segment-first 17.64 cm touchscreen infotainment system, compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link. It also supports voice recognition, phone connectivity, and rear parking camera display.

Under the hood, Santro gets a 4-Cylinder 1.1 Litre Petrol engine that offers superior performance, low vibration, and high fuel efficiency. It will also be equipped with Smart Auto AMT Technology, which has been developed in-house by Hyundai. Customers will also get the option to buy a factory fitted CNG variant.

All new Hyundai Santro is built for superior safety, featuring standard ABS with EBD, driver airbag and strengthened body made from Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) + High Strength Steel (HSS). New Santro comes with 3 Years/100,000 kms Warranty and best-in-segment 3 Years Road Side Assistance. It also has the lowest maintenance cost and comes with doorstep service facility.

Price of all-new Hyundai Santro has not been announced officially, but leaked documents reveal that the car will come in 9 variants and will be priced in the range of Rs 4.4 lakh to Rs 6.03 lakh on road.
