Hyundai Santro prices leaked – Rs 3.87 L for Maruti WagonR, Tata Tiago rival

As the 2018 Hyundai Santro gears up for launch in India on Oct 23, the company has opened bookings at an advance payment of Rs 11,100. This amount if only valid for the first 50,000 customers who will also benefit from introductory prices. Santro prices are set to be increased later.

Hyundai will officially announce the prices of new Santro on 23rd October at the launch event in Delhi. But ahead of that, Hyundai dealer in Delhi has leaked the prices of new Santro. As per the leaked price list, Hyundai Santro prices ranges from Rs 4.4 lakhs to Rs 6.03 lakhs on road.

2018 Hyundai Santro makes a comeback into the Indian markets and is one of the most important launches for this year. It will be slotted between the Hyundai Eon and Grand i10 and though sporting the same iconic nameplate, the new Santro gets updated features, some of which are the first ever on a Hyundai.

Hyundai Santro continues to sport its tallboy design but with a mix of a new design language. It gets a curvier design and new accent lines giving it a more premium stance. It sports a fluidic front grille, swept back headlamps and higher positioned fog lamps. The new Hyundai Santro now sits on 14” steel wheels while designs at the rear includes a wide boot lid, large windscreen and new tail lamps.

Note that there are unconfirmed ex-showroom prices. Hyundai has not confirmed that these are correct prices.

Interiors also get redone with a dual black and beige color scheme, added head and leg room and one of the biggest highlights are rear AC vents. The Santro also sports a 7” touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Santro will be offered in seven color options of Silver, Stardust, Polar White, Marina Blue, Fiery Red, Diana Green and Imperial Beige which is set to attract the attention of younger buyers. Once launched, it will rival the likes of Maruti WagonR and Tata Tiago. As per the leaked Hyundai Santro prices, it is cheaper than the WagonR, but expensive than the Tiago.

Engine specifications on the new Hyundai Santro will include a 1.1 liter, Epsilon family engine offering 68 bhp power and 99 Nm torque. The engine will be ready to comply with new BS VI emission standards coming into effect from 2020 while the Santro will also get a CNG option with an 8 kg tank. Fuel efficiency will stand at 20.3 kmpl on the petrol engine.
