This sighting suggests that the vehicle is likely a private import and not part of Hyundai India’s test fleet for an upcoming launch. The Staria is a premium minivan that caters to luxury-seeking customers and is already popular in international markets.

Hyundai Staria, positioned above the Stargazer MPV in Hyundai’s lineup, is a 5.3-meter-long luxury vehicle designed for the global market. It rivals the likes of Kia Carnival and other high-end minivans. Known for its futuristic design, spacious interiors, and feature-packed configurations, the Staria has gained popularity in multiple markets, especially in South Korea, where it is offered with both diesel and hybrid powertrains.
Hyundai recently updated the Staria for the 2024 model year, introducing a new hybrid powertrain alongside the existing 3.5L V6 petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines. The hybrid variant pairs a 1.6L turbo petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 242 bhp and 367 Nm of torque. It also offers impressive fuel efficiency of 13 km/l, given the MPV’s size and weight.
