Hyundai Venue arrives at dealer with Alexa-like voice command system?
Hyundai Venue SUV production started last week at the company plant in Chennai. Now, it has started arriving at dealer showrooms across India.
Hyundai Motors India is all set to launch the new Venue, the brands smallest SUV in India. It has entered production at the company’s Sriperumbudur, Chennai production facility and the first model has rolled off production lines on the same day that Hyundai celebrates its 23rd Foundation Day in India.
Hyundai Venue is scheduled for launch on 21st May 2019. Ahead of that, bookings have opened at a down payment of Rs.21,000 and the same can be booked directly through company dealerships or via the Hyundai India website. The company claims to have received over 2,000 bookings in the first 24 hours.
The SUV has started arriving at dealer showrooms in India. First images of the same were posted by YouTube channel Car News – By HotShotInfo, and by Armaan Jain on Rushlane Spylane. As per the video, Venue will receive a new gadget, which looks like Alexa. Though it is not clear what will be its use, it is reported that it may be used to control the music system using voice command.
Apart from the voice command feature to operate music system, Hyundai Venue is also the first made in India connected SUV. It will feature embedded eSIM and Blue Link technology. It will be seen with a total of 33 connected features out of which 10 are India exclusive.
The Venue will be presented in 13 variants in four trim levels of E, S, SX and SX(O) with prices expected to range between Rs.7.5-13 lakhs. The new Venue will get exciting colour options in mono tones of Star Dust, Fiery Red, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Deep Forest, Lava Orange, Denim Blue and in dual tone blue with white roof, white with black roof and orange with black roof. Its exteriors will be seen with a dark chrome grille, chrome door handles, shark fin antenna and projector headlamps with LED DRLs. It will also receive projector fog lamps and LED tail lamps.
Interiors will be in a dual tone black and beige color scheme which is reserved for its global spec model while the model on sale in India will be seen in a single black colour scheme with off white trims for pillars and roof. The interiors in a 5 seater arrangement will get black leather seats in a contoured design with white stitching accents. The door handles, steering wheel and gear lever will be seen in brushed silver while it will also sport a new dashboard design.
The engine lineup on the new Venue will include a 1.0 liter, 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine capable of 118 bhp power and 172 Nm torque. The 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine will offer 83 bhp power and 115 Nm torque while the diesel engine will be a 1.4 liter U2 CRDi unit offering 89 bhp power and 220 Nm torque. Each of these engines gets mated to a manual transmission while the 1 liter petrol mill will also be offered with the option of 7 speed DCT.
