Hyundai Venue is presented in four trims of E, S, SX and SX(O), and priced in a range of Rs 6.50 lakhs to Rs 11.10 lakhs. It comes in as a perfect family car with a striking design, multiple engine options and competitive pricing and has appealed to buyers in its segment which currently comprise of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.

In just a few months since launch, Hyundai Venue booking numbers are all set to cross the 1 lakh mark in 2019, reveals Hyundai. Not only a success in domestic market, Hyundai has also started exports of the Venue. Set to be launched in South Africa next month, 1400 units of Venue have already been shipped from India.

In terms of dimensions, the Venue measures 3,995mm in length, 1,770 mm in width and 1,590mm in height with a 2,500mm long wheelbase. The Hyundai Venue is built of 69 percent Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS), relating to dynamic stiffness and improved structural rigidity.

Its exteriors are noted with a dark chrome front grille, projector headlamps and LED DRLs along with LED tail lamps. It also receives a shark fin antenna, flared wheel arches, a strong shoulder line and 16” diamond cut alloy wheels. The rear gets an angular stance with creases on its boot and a tapering windscreen.

The interiors receive features such as a multifunction steering wheel, wireless phone charger, cruise control, an electric sunroof and a 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Venue also gets first in segment features such as air purifier, HD display unit, wheel air curtains etc, but where it stands out ahead of competition is in its technology. The sub compact SUV boasts of a total of 33 features out of which 10 are India specific.

Venue is the first in India with Blue Link telematics and internet-based connectivity technology. This will be offered free for a period of three years and chargeable thereafter. The company has tied up with service provider Vodafone-Idea for features such as crash notification, panic alert, SOS emergency assistance, vehicle tracking and immobilization, Geo fencing, time fencing, valet alert and live traffic updates. It also gets app based features such as remote engine start, climate control, Find My Car and Share the Destination. This BlueLink app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Hyundai Venue is presented in three engine options. Its 1.0 liter Kappa T-GDI petrol engine is the most powerful, offering 120 PS power and 172 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox and 7 speed DCT as an option. The 1.2 liter Kappa petrol engine delivers 83 PS power and 115 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual while the 1.4 liter diesel engine is capable of 90 PS power and 220 Nm torque and gets mated to a 6 speed manual.
