Hyundai Venue connected features via Vodafone eSIM tech detailed

After revealing two teaser videos of their upcoming SUV, Hyundai India revealed 10 interesting features which will be on offer with Venue. Yes, the new Hyundai SUV is called Venue.

Hyundai Venue is being launched in the highly competitive sub 4 meter SUV segment. This segment already has Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 as prominent players. Together, this segment registers monthly sales of about 30k units – which means out every 8 cars sold in India, 1 is a sub 4 meter compact SUV.

And the demand is growing at an exponential rate, which is why new cars are being planned for launch by many players in this segment. The next car which we will see to enter this segment, is Hyundai Venue.

Hyundai Venue Turbo is the new 1 liter engine variant.

So how does a new entrant aim to impress, when there are already some impressive cars on offer in the segment? Well, Hyundai is going to offer Connected Car technology with the Venue. Hyundai claims that theirs will be the first connected car of India. Other brand which is fighting for the ‘India’s first connected car’ title, is MG Motor India. Their Hector SUV will also come with connected car features.

So what are these features which make a car – a truly connected car? Well, Hyundai has now officially revealed the exact list of features which will be on offer with Venue. These features will be working, because the car will always be connected to internet, and your smartphone via the Hyundai app. The car will come with an embedded eSIM tech called Hyundai BlueLink, which will allow it to offer the owners 33 features. In India, it will offer 10 features, which are listed below;

1 – Geo Fence – As the name suggests, this feature will enable a virtual border, which when crossed, the owner will be notified. For example, if you set the geo fence range to 5 kms, and if your car goes out of that range, the app will notify you.

2 – Vehicle Tracking in Real Time – Yes, like how you can track your delivery person from any of the food apps, you can now track the location of your car in real time.

3 – Driver Behaviour Information – This will let you know how the car is being driven. How many times brakes were applied, speed, distance covered, where the car stopped and for hoe much time, sharp turns, high speed driving, etc.

4 – Share location with friends and family – You will be able to share the car’s location with friends and family.

5 – Share destination – You will be able to share the car’s destination with anyone you want. This will keep your loved ones know where you are heading, and by what time you will reach.

6 – Speed alert – You can set a speed limit in your car, and every time it crosses that limit, owner of the car will be notified.

7 – Idle alert – There are cases when owners forget to switch off their car after they have parked it. This feature will notify owners that their car is on for a long time, without any activity.

8 – Valet Alert – When you drop your car off with the valet, this feature will automatically set a geo fence and will notify the owner if the car travels out of the virtual border set.

9 – Server Voice Recognition – In most cases, the voice recognition software is not set for Indian accent. Hyundai claims that, for Venue, they have created a new software, which is perfectly capable with all Indian accents.

10 – Time Fence – Owner car set a time, for which the car can be mobile. If the car moves beyond that time, the owner will be notified.
