Hyundai Venue is a sub 4 meter SUV. With the launch of Venue, Hyundai plans an onslaught into the SUV segment. Their Creta, is already a leader in its segment with over 10k units sold a month. With Venue, the company plans to add another 10k units in sales every month, thereby registering about 20k SUV sales a month. If achieved, this will make Hyundai the largest SUV maker in India, beating Maruti Suzuki.
All new Hyundai Venue will be offered in a choice of 3 engine options, which are divided further in 13 trims. Thanks to a leaked brochure, features on offer with each trim are now revealed.
Hyundai Venue E – This is the base trim. It is expected to be priced from Rs 8 lakhs ex-sh. Features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS, central locking, manual air conditioner, cloth upholstery, 15 inch steel wheels, speed-sensing door locks, rear parking sensors, full wheel covers, adjustable headrest in front, fixed at rear, tilt steering, 12V socket in front, front power windows. Engine options on offer with this trim are 1.2 L petrol 5 MT and 1.4 diesel 6 MT.
Hyundai Venue S – In addition to the standard features from E trim, the S trim will get – Rear AC vents, keyless entry, all power windows, electric ORVMs, 2 DIN audio system with AUX, Bluetooth, AM/FM, USB compatibility; 4 speakers, 2 tweeters, steering mounted controls, rear parcel tray, cooled glove box, front armrest with storage, micro antenna, cloth upholstery with double stitching, luggage lamp. Engine options on offer with this trim are 1.2 liter 5 MT, 1.0 liter petrol with 6 MT / 7 DCT, 1.4 liter diesel with 6 MT. (DCT trim will get ESC as well as vehicle stability management and Supervision instrument cluster).
Hyundai Venue SX – 16 inch diamond cut alloys, auto headlamps, projector fog lamps, LED DRLs, projector headlights with cornering function, LED tail lamps, electric ORVM with turn indicators, adjustable rear seat headrest, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, driver seat height adjustable, rear camera with display, electric sunroof, cruise control, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, USB charging, voice recognition, shark fin antenna. Engine options on offer with this trim 1.0 liter petrol with 6 MT / 7 DCT and 1.4 liter diesel with 6 MT. 1.2L petrol is not on offer with this trim.
Hyundai Venue SX Dual Tone – In addition to above, it gets leather seats.
Hyundai Venue SX+ – This trim is only offered with 1 liter 7 speed DCT. It gets ESC, Security alarm, wireless charging, 8 inch touchscreen system, OE telematics, air purifier, smart key with push button start, day/night internal rear view mirror, supervision cluster.
Hyundai Venue SX (O) – This is the top of the line trim and is expected to cost Rs 12+ lakhs. It will be on offer with 1.0 liter petrol with 6 MT / 7 DCT and 1.4 liter diesel with 6 MT. In addition to features above, it will also get side and curtain airbags (total 6), Brake assist, chrome door handles, 60-40 rear split seats, rear wiper / washer, rear armrest with cup holders.
