Hyundai Venue is the newest sub 4 meter compact SUV which has been launched in India. It comes at a time when car sales on a decline, but inspite of that, Hyundai India aims to sell about 10,000 units of Venue every month. One would wonder how is that possible, considering that the total segment sales for April 2019 stood at about 26k units.
Only time will tell if Hyundai manages to achieve their sales target or not. But for now, it does seem that they are on the right track. Hyundai India has revealed today that Venue bookings have officially crossed the 17,000 mark across India. In addition to this, Hyundai India revealed that overall enquiries from all their dealerships has crossed the 80,000 mark.
Hyundai Venue is offered in a choice of two petrol engines and 1 diesel engine. Along with manual transmission option, it also comes with DCT auto, making it the first car in the segment to come with a DCT. It is also the first car in the segment to get eSIM tech. To give their customers a better look of Venue, from the comfort of their phone / computer, Hyundai India has now revealed a detailed Venue. Launch of Hyundai Venue has surely not gone down with rivals. Just a few days after Venue’s launch, Maruti has announced launch of Brezza Sports Edition, while Ford is getting ready to launch EcoSport Thunder Edition. Priced aggressively, Hyundai Venue is expected to eat into the sales of rival cars like Maruti Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
For now, it is the Maruti Brezza which is leading the sales race with over 11k units sold last month. Mahindra XUV300 took the 2nd spot with 4k+ units sold followed by Tata Nexon on 3rd spot with little under 4k units sold. Last is Ford EcoSport, which is the least selling car in the segment.
