Front facade is revised by way of larger headlamps (akin to 2015 Hyundai Sonata’s) and dual chrome slats replacing mono-bar for front grille. Front bumper is tweaked to house newly designed fog lamps integrated with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and wider air dam. Rear section of Hyundai Verna / Solaris has not undergone significant changes, except for bumper touched up to adopt redesigned reflector lights and blacked lower lip.
Interiors are left undisturbed. Engine spec also remains same, with 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre gasoline engines, like we have here. There is however a change under the bonnet. A new 6 speed automatic transmission setup accompanies 1.6 litre petrol motor. Usual 5 speed manual gearbox is available for choice.
Hyundai India offers Verna sedan with 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic transmission. Rest of ingredients are similar in models of both markets. Most sedans in Verna’s segment are upgraded to trend, like the Fiesta facelift, new generation Honda City, facelifted Fiat Linea and upcoming Nissan Sunny facelift. Its high time Hyundai adds charm to ageing Verna to keep up second to top in segment.
Price of Hyundai Solaris facelift ranges from 473,900 Rubles (Rs. 8.26 lakhs approx.) to 574,900 Rubles (Rs. 10.02 lakhs approx.).
