Vinay Piparsania, executive director for Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India says Ford EcoSport demand continues to be strong. Ford has worked closely with suppliers so waiting period for most Ford EcoSport variants is reduced, and demand is met in a timely manner.
Ford India plans to introduce a third shift at its Chennai plant so Ford EcoSport is available across showrooms heading into this festive season. Chennai-made Ford EcoSport is exported to South Africa, Taiwan, Australia and European countries. Global acceptance validates Ford India’s position as a global manufacturing hub.
As Ford EcoSport continues to be a car that’s in demand here, the company continues to work towards reducing waiting period, and improving availability. No doubt its contribution has been a constant factor in improved sales as Ford India sold 15,282 vehicles in July 2014, up by 24% over July 2013.
