India-made Yamaha R15 V3 launched in Nepal at NPR 4.7 lakhs (Rs 2.95 lakhs)

Yamaha R15 V3 is a successor to the Yamaha R15 V2. After being launched in India earlier this year, the same bike is being presented at the ongoing NADA Auto Show, which is happening from 11th to 16th September.

In Nepal, the price of Yamaha R15 V3 is priced at NPR 4,70,900 in local currency. As per today’s conversation rate, this in Indian currency is Rs 2.95 lakhs. In Nepal, 2018 Yamaha R15 V3 will be on sale through Morang Auto Works, authorized distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal. It will be imported from India as a CBU.

The new Yamaha YZF V3 is being regaled by viewers at the auto show in Nepal not only for its outstanding looks and attractive design but also for its aggressive riding position and higher ground clearance which allows it to take on road conditions in Nepal.

Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 is presented in two color options of Racing Blue and Thunder Grey. It receives a fully digital instrument cluster, dual LED headlamps, hazard light and a modified Delta Box platform. In terms of dimensions, the bike stands 1,990mm in length, 725mm in width and 1,135mm in height.

It has a 1,325mm wheelbase and gets ground clearance of 170mm, seat height of 815mm and kerb weight of 139 kgs. Suspension sees a telescopic fork in the front and swingarm at the rear while braking is via 282mm single disc in the front and 220mm single disc at the rear.

Yamaha R15 V3 is powered by a liquid cooled, fuel injection, 155cc, single cylinder engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology thus making it more powerful as compared to its earlier counterpart.

This engine belts out 19.04 bhp power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm torque at 8,500 rpm. Mileage stands at 40 kmpl in city limited going up to 45-46 kmpl on the highway with a top speed of 140 kmph. Launched in India earlier this year at Rs 1.25 lakhs, this third generation R15 does not get ABS in India.
