The third touchpoint for Indian Motorcycles in India, in Bangalore, is slated for inauguration on 7th May 2015, in the presence of Scott W. Wine (Chairman and CEO of Polaris Industries), Bennett J. Morgan (President and COO of Polaris Industries) and Michael D. Dougherty (Vide President of Asia Pacific and Latin American regions, at Polaris Industries).
On the day of grand opening of the touchpoint, two new Indian Motorcycles will be unveiled, Indian Roadmaster and Indian Chief Dark Horse.
The 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse was launched globally just on February 13, 2015. The model, just like others, will be imported in India via CBU route. Price of Indian Dark Horse will start from Rs. 21.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The modern cult cruiser is powered by THUNDER STROKE 111 engine displacing 1811 cc, with V-twin cylinder configuration, same as the one doing duty in Indian Chief Vintage, Chief Classic, Chieftain and Roadmaster variants. It generates 139 Nm peak torque.
Targeted at younger audience, the Indian Chief Dark Horse comes with a good number of features, including keyless ignition through remote key. It takes Chief Classic’s driving lights, equips electronic cruise control, and ABS; and gets only solo seating. The model has over 40 accessories, that includes pillion seat and foot pegs for the pillion.
