Indian Scout Bobber launched at the 2017 IBW in Goa. It is offered in five color options of Thunder Black, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Indian Motorcycle Red and Thunder Black Smoke. It is priced at INR 12.99 lakhs, es-showroom.
Indian Scout Bobber is seen with a blacked out headlamp, frame cover and aluminum wheels. It gets a split exhaust and low rise handlebars along with a new single saddle contributing to a comfortable and yet aggressive riding posture. True to its off road features, the Bobber receives a chopped front fender, curved rear mudguard and massive 16” tyres measuring 130/90 at the front and 150/80 at the rear.
Indian Scout Bobber is fitted with a 12.5 liter fuel tank, it gets a single analogue pod with digital screen fitted to the top of the fuel tank. The screen displays speedometer, tachometer, odometer and trip meter besides engine temperature and fuel warning light. The Bobber also sports a round halogen headlight and bar end mirrors.
It receives 120mm telescopic forms and 50mm dual shock absorbers at the rear along with 298mm disc brakes at both ends. Key features also include black headlamp nacelle, minimal engine covers and vented exhaust shields. The comfortable two tone real leather seat, strategically positioned handle bars and pegs and lower ground clearance of 123mm makes the Scout Bobber ideal for long distance travel.
Engine power to the Indian Scout Bobber is via a 1133cc, liquid cooled, V Twin engine offering 95.3 PS power and 97 Nm torque at 5,600 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox. The 2018 Indian Scout Bobber will compete against the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight, Triumph Bonneville Bobber and Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber in India.
