Indian Springfield launched in India at INR 31.07 lakhs

The Indian Springfield flagship cruiser which is named after the American two-wheeler maker’s birth place has been launched in India at an eye-watering price of INR 31,07,770 (Ex Showroom Gurugram). Order books opened back in April this year, while deliveries have now started.

The classic Springfield with flamboyant bodywork is equipped with modern technology to offer a fine balance between touring and urban riding. The motorcycle can be quickly converted into a cruiser by removing the quick-release windshield and panniers. By adding more accessories, the motorcycle can be transformed into a stately tourer.

The Indian Springfield is named of the company’s birth place.

The tech-laden two wheeler is equipped with adjustable floor board, remote locking hardbags, high-resolution ABS, electronic cruise control, dual driving lights (in addition to a headlamp), tyre pressure monitoring system, standard front and rear highway bars (to mount accessories to protect the bodywork from a fall), etc. Like any other Indian Motorcycle, attention to detail is terrific and there are several chrome finished components such as the front for, headlamp surrounds, engine covers, exhaust, fender trim and handlebar.

The Springfield is powered by the familiar ThunderStroe 111 engine.

The Indian Springfield is powered by the familiar Thunderstroke 111 (displacement in cubic inches) which is mated to a 6-speed transmission to product 139.9 Nm of torque.
