Set to take on Audi A5, BMW 4 Series and Mercedes Benz C Class coupes, Q60 from Infiniti made its official debut in Detroit. Previously known as the G37 and G35, Q60 coupe concept car will be very similar to its production model that comes in 2016.
Built of a carbon fibre body and measuring just under 4 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width and standing 1.3 meters tall, the 2 door Infiniti Q60 features cream leather interiors with sports seats. Alcantara and carbon fiber trims are evident in the car’s interiors while a glass roof gives the cabin an airy appeal. Hand crafted leather wrapped instrument panel and steering wheel add to the Q60’s premium look while externally, its hallmark Infiniti headlamp is well defined along with directional LED lights and 21” wheels.
Q60 concept is powered by a 3.0 liter direct injection, twin turbocharged, V6 engine mated to a 7 speed automatic transmission. Infiniti asserts that the Q60 production model will be nearly identical to that seen on stage at the 2015 NAIAS while there is no word on when exactly this production model based on the Q60 concept will be released or what will be its pricing.
