The Audi R8, Spyder, A8, S5 and Q7 have been seen in the first two Iron Man film’s. Marvel’s Iron Man 3 releasing in theatres on May 3, 2013 sees Tony Stark behind the wheel of an all electric R8 e-tron sports car prototype. Gwyneth Paltrow who plays the part of Virginia Pepper Potts of Stark Industries and girlfriend of Tony Stark is seen in an Audi S7 Sportback.
Audi has entered into an alliance with Disney and Marvel Studios to showcase their vehicles with leading technology and innovative new designs which is highlighted throughout the movie. Similar to the Iron Man’s character, R8 is a born leader. It may be remembered that Audi vehicles have been spotted in Iron Man films but this time round the four ring brand is seen in a major role making a significant cut even in the film’s trailer.
Audi’s February sales saw an increase by 3.2% despite A3 changeover, a shorter month and the long Chinese New Year holidays. The company delivered 110,000 automobiles to customers in during the month. Deliveries during the first two months of this year saw the company register an increase in sales to the tune of 9.4% to 211,800 cars with growth in Asia, Europe and North America.
