Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 4×4 LE at 2016 Bangkok Motor Show (LIVE)

For India, Isuzu will begin manufacturing the vehicle from April 2016 at its Sri City plant, Andhra Pradesh. Launch is scheduled in H2 2016. Isuzu’s pickup market share has been growing in India since launch, and the company enjoys a bit of a frontrunner status with its niche products. Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross is heralded as a dynamic fit for the adventurous and enthusiastic Indian.

Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross Adventure Utility Vehicle brings together off-roading capability and passenger vehicle like comforts. Available in 4WD (4X4) configuration, Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross can be registered as a personal vehicle. In it’s commercial avatar, Isuzu D-MAX is available in 4X4 and 4X2 configurations, that can be combined with Crew Cab / Single Cab, High Ride / Normal Ride and flat deck / arch-deck load body, and cab-chassis type.
India’s projected economic growth is what the system is banking on to ride on a sense of optimism. Indian pick-up market anticipates growth, and Isuzu is doing the groundwork with its wide-ranging D-Max vehicles.

The 2nd gen Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross pick-up is available in markets like Europe, Australia, Thailand and South America. Powered comes from a 134 hp, BSIV compliant, high-pressure Common Rail Fuel Injection Diesel Engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Maximum torque is reported at 320 Nm @ 1800-2800 rpm. Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross pick-up moves on a 4WD (shift-on-fly) drive mode, High Ride suspension for higher ground clearance, and wider track with longer wheel base. Chassis frame is based on iGRIP feature (Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform) for improved stability.

It’s road presnce gets a boost with the use of projector headlamps, 16″ Alloy Wheels, Sporty Roof Rails, ORVM with turn side indicator and chrome finish for front grille, ORVM and door handles. On the inside, Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross pick-up sports steering mounted audio controls, electro-luminescent meters with MID (Multi Information Display) and 7″ touch screen audio system with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.

New Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross pick-up (Private Registration) price will be about Rs. 15 lakhs. The commercial offering will be available for about Rs. 8.5 – 9.5 lakhs.
