Isuzu V Cross and MUX discount of up to Rs 5 lakhs

Isuzu dealers in the country are offering heavy discounts on the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and MU-X. The D-Max V-Cross lifestyle pickup truck and MU-X SUV are currently priced at Rs 15.32 lakhs and Rs 27.35 lakhs respectively and discounts extend to Rs.3-5 lakhs depending on dealerships.

These discounts are being offered in a bid to sell off existing stocks ahead of a new engine lineup making its way onto the D-Max V-Cross. The current engine is being upgraded as it does not comply with BS VI emission norms while the new engine will also offer more power.

Dealers have announced that these discounts are on limited color options. The D-Max V-Cross black color, which is highly popular has been sold out though colors of white, silver, brown and red are still available. The MU-X, full sized 7 seater, is offered at discounts of over Rs.5 lakhs by some dealers.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is powered by a 2.5 liter engine offering 134 bhp power and 320 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed gearbox. The new model will get some improvements in design and features with new wheels, better infotainment system and a new 1.9 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged engine offering 160 hp power and 360 Nm torque – up by 26 hp and 40 Nm. This new engine gets mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox and a 5 speed automatic transmission.

Isuzu MU-X is powered by a 3.0 liter turbo diesel, In line 4 cylinder, DOHC, 16 valve engine offering 174 bhp power at 3,600 rpm and 380 Nm torque at1800-2800 rpm mated to a 5 speed automatic transmission.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is a popular vehicle in India having found favour among off road enthusiasts. It is the first non-commercial pickup truck in the country to have registered consistent sales.

Isuzu Motors is actively testing the facelifted D-Max V-Cross in India. It will receive new tail lamps, lighting graphics for brake lamps and new projector headlamps in the place of halogen lamps seen on its current counterpart. It will also receive a redesigned front grille, new bumpers and a new set of alloy wheels.

The interiors of the D-Max V-Cross gets a dual tone colour scheme, quality material and piano black finish on dashboard, doors and central console. It will also be seen with a 7” touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The new model will also sport mandatory safety features of dual front airbags, ABS, high speed warning alert, front seatbelt reminder and reverse parking sensors.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, currently offered in Standard and High variants; and priced at Rs. 15.30 lakhs and Rs. 16.80 lakhs respectively will see the upcoming automatic variant priced at around Rs.2 lakhs over its manual counterpart.
