Jacques Rivoal to take over at Volkswagen Group France


As Marie Christine Caubet, 61, retires at the end of this year, Jacques Rivoal, 54, is set to become the new President of Volkswagen Group, France with effect from January 2, 2013. Jacques Rivoal has been associated with Volkswagen Group ever since he joined in 2010 as Head of VW Passenger Cars in France.

He is well versed with the auto industry in his earlier capacities as general Manager of Renault/Nissan in Germany from 2000 while in 2009 he headed the marketing region in Europe. Also starting her career with Renault in 1973, Marie Christine Caubet served as financial analyst and went on to be General Manager, Regional Director and Managing Director of the company.

She became Senior Vice President of the market region in Europe and later joined the Volkswagen Group in 2009 directly appointed as President of Volkswagen Group France. She has held this position for the past 4 years and now retires to hand over the reins to Jacques Rivoal who will steer the company ahead.
