The Jaguar F-Pace luxury crossover has been launched in India for a starting price of INR 68.40 lakh. The official launch took place at a spectacular event in Marine Drive, Mumbai last night which saw Shankar Mahadevan enthralling the audience with his performance, Narain Karthikeyan setting the pace for the event, while personalities like Disha Patani and several VIP guests adding glamour to the fantastic event.
To mark the launch, an 18 meter tall ‘Beacon’ designed especially by Arzan Khambatta, dramatically lit up in a never seen before launch sequence.
The F-Pace made its Indian debut at the Auto Expo in February earlier this year. Based on the iQ aluminium intensive platform, the F-Pace follows the family design language with a prominent grille, narrow headlamps and a sporty stance. The fender gills and curvaceous sheet metal design add to the luxury cars appeal. Sharp looking LED taillights that are inspired by those of the F-Type round off the exterior design.
India-spec car will be available in four trim levels – Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and First Edition.
The first two variants are powered by a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine which dishes out 180 PS and 430 Nm of torque, while the R-Sport and First Edition boasts of a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine which is good for 300 PS and a massive torque of 700 Nm. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard across the range. Below are the variant-wise prices;

The entry-level Pure variant is fitted with InControl touchscreen infotainment system, power adjustable front seats, dual zone climate control, All surface progress control, cruise control, rear parking sensors, heated ORVMs, etc. Prestige adds reverse parking camera, headlamp washers, Taurus leather upholstery, and so on.
The R-Sport adds sporty body kits, LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, gesture recognition system for tailgate, larger front brakes, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable steering column, reclining rear seats, upgraded InControl system with surround camera. The First Edition which is likely to be made available in limited numbers at the time of launch would pack 20-inch wheels, Windsor leather upholstery, Meridian audio system, panoramic roof, etc.
