Jaguar I-Pace Concept electric SUV debuts at 2017 Geneva Motor Show

?The new Jaguar I-Pace electric SUV concept has finally arrived at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The Tata owned brand has made it quite evident, as to what the I-Pace will rival once it is launched in 2 years time.

Tesla is considered the flag-bearer of new-age electric cars. And why not. They have launched cars which have changed consumers perception towards electric cars. This was enough to bring the world-renowned German and Britis brands from their slumber and deliver cars of the future, asap.

Speaking about the Jaguar I-Pace concept, it is powered by two electric motors which work together to deliver peak power output of 400 hp and peak torque of 700 Nm. This mated to a permanent all-wheel drive translates into 0-100 kmph time of under 4 seconds.

For electric cars, its charging time and range are very important. This is one reason why Tesla are what they are today. Jaguar has claimed almost similar figures for the I-Pace – 500 km driving range and quick charging tech. I-Pace’s 90-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack can be charged 0-80% in just 90 minutes via 50-kW fast-charging DC station. A full charge is achieved in just 2 hours. Jaguar claims that if you are going to drive 48 km a day, the car will need to be fully charged just once a week.

Jaguar has confirmed that the I-Pace will be launched simultaneously in all US states by the second half of 2018. What’s more. The British brand has already started taking orders for the same. You can book yours at Jaguar.com
