Jaguar Land Rover India pre Auto Expo presentation in photos


Tata owned British luxury car brand, Jaguar Land Rover gave media a preview of what their highlights will be at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. They also gave a brief understanding of the values they follow, the basic philosophy behind their brand, and future growth plans.

The presenter at this evening’s press presentation were, Dr Wolfgang Ziebart, Director of Group Engineering; Mr Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar; and Mr Gerry McGovern, Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, Land Rover.

jaguar land rover presentation india (1)The evening began with Mr Del Sehmar, Head of PR & Communications at Jaguar Land Rover India welcoming the media and giving a brief introduction of the event. He handed over the stage to Dr Wolfgang Ziebart, who explained the brand’s five pillars, over which Jaguar Land Rover are designing their cars – Smart, Connected, Clean, Capability and Desirability.

Following this, Mr Ian Callum and Mr Gerry McGovern explained design philosophy of Jaguar and Land Rover cars. Under the Jaguar brand, Mr Callum explained F-Type coupe, C-X17 Concept, and Project 7. Under the Land Rover, Mr McGovern explained new Evoque, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover Sport LWB.

Apart from this, Jaguar Land Rover official, Mr Gerry McGovern also thanked JLRs parents Tata Motors for giving them the freedom, which their brand could have only imagined to get. He also praised Mr Ratan Tata and Mr Cyrus Mistry.

After this, Mr Sehmar called India’s famous racing driver, Narain Karthikeyan on stage, who spoke about his experience while driving F-Type coupe and Range Rover Sport at the Silverstone. You can scan through the images below for having a glance at this evening’s proceedings.
